Types of Oil Mist Filter
Centrifugal Oil Mist Filters
Suitable for environments with high oil mist concentrations and larger particle sizes. They are simple in structure, easy to maintain, and rarely require filter element replacement.
Electrostatic Oil Mist Filters
Effective at capturing fine particles as small as 0.01 microns. They offer high filtration efficiency and low running resistance but may require higher maintenance.
Mechanical Filtration Oil Mist Filters
Provide high filtration precision and can handle a wide range of particle sizes. However, the filter elements need to be replaced periodically.
Applications of Oil Mist Filter
Metal Cutting and Grinding

How They Work of Oil Mist Filter
Air Suction
Air contaminated with oil and small solid particles is drawn from the CNC machine tool cabin through suction created by a centrifugal fan, pulling it towards the filters.

Coalescence Principle
Inside the filter, oil droplets tend to merge into larger and heavier droplets. This coalescence principle transforms oil vapor into oily droplets, making the filtration process more effective.

Filtration
The air is forced to pass from inside the filter chamber to the outside. During this process, the filters completely separate pollutants from the airflow, ensuring the purification of oil and particles from the air.

Separation of Oil Droplets
Oil droplets separated during the filtration process are not subjected to any further treatment. Therefore, these droplets can be recycled for future use.

Collection of Oil Vapor
A drainage pipe continuously maintained at "excessive pressure" efficiently collects recondensed oil vapor. This method allows for the recovery of oil vapor and minimizes losses.

Carefully remove the unit from the shipping carton and inspect for damage that may have occurred during shipping. If shipping damage is found, do not install. Call the manufacturer to report damage.
Wipe down unit to remove shipping dust and debris.
Raise unit into ceiling and lower onto gasketed opening. Gasket should be a closed-cell material approved for the environmental conditions. It is highly recommended to further support the unit from above using the tabs welded to the plenum.
A qualified technician should connect the unit to the appropriate power supply per applicable codes and standards.
NOTE: If an -MA or -MEA unit is installed in an area with no access above the ceiling, the main power switch must be turned on before installing unit.
NOTE: An additional disconnect should be added by others per local codes and regulations.
